Mixed Media on Wood Panel

“Voice of the Untamed”

24 x 24 in, mixed media on wood panel

This self-portrait was inspired by a 2010 photoshoot of the artist with a live boa constrictor. It merges the sacred symbolism of the divine feminine, embodied by the female form with a serpent draped over the shoulder and the throat chakra, the energetic center of voice and expression.

An invocation of the wild, the divine, and the fully embodied feminine, a force rising from within: uncaged, primal, and untamed.

EXHIBITIONS:

“Embers of the Earth”

24 x 24 in, mixed media on wood panel

This work is a meditation on rootedness and wildness, awakening the raw pulse of the earth and the elemental fire that sustains life. Inspired by the Muladhara, or root chakra, it symbolizes the seat of primal life force, vitality, and grounded abundance. Its deep crimson tones mirror embers at the earth’s core, glowing with enduring power.

The Sanskrit symbol of Muladhara is woven into the piece, honoring embodiment and the steady, forward-moving energy of life that grounds, sustains, and propels growth.

EXHIBITIONS:

Annual Staff & Faculty Exhibition at the Palmer Gallery at the Athenaeum Art Center in San Diego, California. Exhibition Dates: December 13, 2025 – January 15, 2026.

Original Available for Purchase: $800.00 USD

Acrylic Mixed Media with Textured Fabric

“Lavender Dream”

24 × 22 in, acrylic mixed media with textured fabric on canvas

Lavender Dream unfolds like a soft exhale stirred by the first light of dawn. Scrunched fabric rises and settles in luscious undulations, tender and lingering. Hues of lavender drift between shadow and glow, evoking the moment when night loosens its hold and morning slips in like silk against skin.

The surface feels alive, lush yet weightless, as if the painting itself is still half within a dream, breathing slowly, inviting the viewer to rest inside its hush. It is a sensual awakening, a luminous threshold where softness becomes form and the first light of day feels like a caress remembered through the skin.

EXHIBITIONS:

“Mix It Up” Juried Exhibition at the Ashton Gallery in San Diego, California. Exhibition Dates: March 28 – April 25, 2026.

Original Available for Purchase: $650.00 USD

“Divine Surrender”

10 x 13 in, acrylic mixed media with textured fabric on wood

Divine Surrender is a remembrance of origin and the sacred intelligence from which life emerges. Textured fabric on wood panel, layered with acrylic glaze and gold leaf, creates a luminous field where light and material meet in continuous transformation.

On the surface it is fluid and sensual, feminine energy moving through soft fabric like ocean waves in a flowy dance at sunset. Beneath that movement lives something older, a generative source, an origin field where form, rhythm, and life continuously unfold.

This piece is an invitation into embodiment, into sensation and the living intelligence behind it. It invites honor and reverence toward the feminine in all forms, including the female body, the womb, nature as land, and the earth.
